Set of vehicles made of Tuffo sandstone and metal
frames. They are meant as urban tools for a performative walk in space of Matera city. Historically, the sandstone is what made Matera so livable creating natural caves and enabling the settlements to date back to Paleolithic times. In the modernisation process, the local community has been disconnected from this material. By symbolically putting the tuffo back to modern districts the performers are creating a line between past, present posing a question about the future. The objects are meant to raise discussion. Performer’s actions are secondary to the stories collected on the way from the local community.
