Create a series of illustrations visualising mushroom species used in the ReishiDesign project, supporting its educational and presentation materials.
MY ROLE
As a graphic designer and illustrator, I developed a set of hand-drawn illustrations in watercolour and ink, focusing on the visual documentation of mushroom species.
FINAL OUTCOME
A botanical-style illustration series depicting different mushroom species used in the ReishiDesign material system. The visuals were applied in presentations to communicate their individual properties and role within the composite material.
KEY DESIGN DECISIONS
Botanical Approach: watercolour and ink technique inspired by traditional naturalist illustration.
Material Sensitivity: emphasis on organic texture and natural variation of each species.
Visual Clarity: balanced detail to ensure recognisability and educational value.
System Consistency: cohesive illustration style across all species within the set.
