PROJECT GOAL
Design the layout and visual language for Plurality Now, a research-driven publication exploring the human microbiome and the body as a living ecosystem.
MY ROLE
As a graphic designer and illustrator, I developed the editorial layout and created a full set of custom illustrations translating complex biological concepts into accessible visuals.

FINAL OUTCOME
A publication combining structured editorial design with a cohesive illustration system based on simplified, pictogram-inspired forms. The visuals guide the reader through scientific and speculative ideas around interconnectedness, microbiology, and post-agricultural futures.
KEY DESIGN DECISIONS
Illustration Style: simplified, pictogram-based visuals to communicate complex biological concepts. Editorial Structure: clear layout system supporting both scientific and speculative narrative.
Visual Consistency: unified set of forms and compositions creating a coherent visual language.

EXCERPT FROM THE BOOK:
There is no such thing as a sterile individual. Your body is an environment in itself. You don’t need to change anything to become a human bioreactor, because you are one already. There is a diverse colony of bacteria living inside of you, being a part of your body. Since our birth we are covered with microbial film inside out. Scientists point that even 90% of cells in our bodies have bacterial DNA. The basis of our life is symbiosis.
